Flap Happy Day

A flap happy day with a sea lion
who would love to learn to fly.

"Oh, if I had feathers on my flippers I could fly. fly. fly."

"Let me show you ways to use
those flippers for elevation. . . ."

Wind Warrior

Breeze teases Phoebe
defied gravity's jest
insects flutter above the grass.
Wind warrior Awaits
clack of beak decides

Flash soars dips and dives leaving his shadow on the cave.

A New Friend

Met a new friend on my garden's favorite flower.
"Just sunning," she said.
After our chat she promised to tend to the weeds instead.

Astonishments

Let me keep my mind on what matters, which is my work, which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished. - Mary Oliver
