Ways They May Chatter

Mr. Crow stalks a black face mask left crumpled in the dirt.. Is it alive? How will it taste? He pecks at the air and flutters away. Not on his menu today.

At the coffee shop's patio, Miriam, a house finch, lands and blinks.

She approaches the almond slice with quick pursuit.

It disappears down the beak and she awaits the next offering.

Coopy, the Cooper's hawk, preens for his photo op, flaring wings in capture of movement for his snack below.

Ozzie, a talented osprey, practices like an acrobat He's too animated to fish.
Flashing wings, the black phoebe, dislikes waiting for a camera's capture. He will share his shadow on a rock.

Sea lions bark fun as they surf. Heads above the splash, they feel life's buoyancy beyond catching fish.
